If you turned to NLP and hypnosis in your quest for fluency, this means you are truly desperate. More likely you have already tried various fluency shaping techniques, individual speech therapy and intensive programs. You may also have some experience with hypnosis and other alternative approaches. And quite possible with almost every approach you enjoyed a period of relatively or completely fluent speech, which regretfully didn’t last. However, unlike a majority of people who stutter, who eventually give up and stop trying, either finding their solace in the stuttering support groups and on stuttering forums, where they can vent their frustration, or adopting an approach of bitter avoidance, you refused to admit defeat and kept searching for an answer. It is also possible that with every failed attempt your hope is waning and your despair is growing.
I have a good news for you. Even though a feeling of despair is painful, it is a very good starting point. Most people who eventually found their freedom from stuttering had to live through a period of bleak desperation and deep dissatisfaction with their speech and life. Sometimes you need to hit the rock bottom before you start really kicking. Sometimes when you reach the deepest level of desperation you find that extra dose of determination that changes everything.
From my own experience and from conversing with many people who found their natural flow and freedom, I know that overcoming stuttering is a personal journey. There is a fair amount of work that nobody can do for you. There is no “cure”. However, there is hope and there is a way out. And as with every journey, you have a better chance to reach your desired destination if you have a roadmap and a set of directions to get there. This is why many people who become curious about NLP as a modality that can help free their natural fluency, choose to work with a coach, rather then experiment on their own.
NLP and hypnosis are modalities that allow a person to make powerful changes in their thinking, their beliefs and emotional reactions. I used NLP on my personal journey toward fluency and found this approach extremely helpful.
It is because of NLP that today I not only enjoy freedom, flow and fun in my speech, but I feel fully self-expressed, strong, confident and more focused. Are you fully self-expressed? Are you ready to shine? Contact me for your free consultation today
